Experience and Impact

Department of Marketing, Quantitative Analysis, and Supply Chain Logistics

Lead Intern

I served as the Lead Intern for the MSU Department of Marketing, Quantitative Analysis, and Supply Chain Logistics. In this role, I managed the Student Engagement and Supply Chain Interns by overseeing tasks and ensuring the successful execution of departmental initiatives. I coordinated student volunteers from the American Marketing Association and Maroon & White Supply Chain to assist with various events. This position allowed me to serve as a liaison between the interns and the department's faculty, staff, and graduate assistants to maintain clear and effective communication. A large part of my role involved planning and executing the annual MKT + SCL Golf Tournament, where I was tasked with volunteer coordination, food and vendor logistics, sponsorship procurement, and promotional material creation. Additionally, I assisted in producing the department's semiannual newsletter for the MKT + SCL Advisory Board.

National Outdoor Leadership School

East Africa Expedition

This four-week experiential learning program combined sustainability and corporate social responsibility education with hands-on leadership development. The first week was spent in virtual instruction where I learned from organizations including 1% for the Planet, NNormal, NOLS, National Retail Federation, and faculty from Auburn University about sustainability, corporate social responsibility, and how organizations can create meaningful environmental and social impact. The following three weeks took those concepts beyond the classroom as I traveled to Tanzania for a backpacking expedition with the National Outdoor Leadership School (NOLS). Throughout the expedition, I learned and applied NOLS principles including leadership, communication, decision-making, risk management, adaptability, and expedition behavior while navigating unfamiliar environments and working as part of a team. The experience challenged me to step outside of my comfort zone, become more resourceful, and approach challenges with greater confidence and flexibility. Combining classroom learning with real-world experience gave me a deeper understanding of sustainability and leadership while strengthening skills that I continue to apply in academic, professional, and team environments.

Live Case in Marketing

Digital Marketing Activity Team
Presentation Team

Over the course of a year-long Live Case in Marketing, I worked as part of a consulting team for NNormal, an outdoor performance brand focused on sustainability, developing research-driven marketing strategies and creative content. I conducted seven ethnographic interviews with marketing executives, race directors, and athletes from brands including Altra, UltraSignup, and Salomon, and analyzed 30 social media brands across more than 1,500 posts and 300 pieces of secondary research to identify industry trends, consumer insights, and content opportunities. Using these findings, I helped develop an in-depth Marketing Activity Action Plan that included mock social media content, a virtual podcast concept featuring the first six episodes and promotional ideas, a six-episode YouTube docuseries with a promotional trailer, and a three-month content calendar with example content and a consistent posting strategy. I also developed a cost-value matrix to evaluate potential investments, created a three-phase 1-, 3-, and 5-year timeline to assess the feasibility of recommendations, and applied my videography skills to create promotional and recap content for NNormal's Fall 2025 trip to the XTERRA Appalachian Trail Festival and our visit to NNormal's headquarters in Spain. This experience allowed me to apply consumer research, marketing strategy, content creation, project planning, and visual storytelling to a real-world client challenge while collaborating with a team to develop actionable recommendations.

Live Case in Marketing

Business-to-Consumer Squeeze Bottle Team

As part of a Live Case in Marketing, I consulted for Terra Delyssa, a Tunisian-based olive oil company, supporting the launch of two new products: an eco-friendly refill bag and a squeeze bottle. As a member of the B2C squeeze bottle team, I helped develop data-driven strategies informed by extensive consumer and market research, including analyzing more than 350 secondary sources, conducting a national survey of 600 olive oil consumers, completing retail analyses of 40 brick-and-mortar and 25 e-commerce grocery retailers, conducting 21 in-home ethnographic interviews and observations, and analyzing more than 127 social media influencers. I also traveled to Tunisia during spring break to gain firsthand insight into the brand, its products, and its market. Building on our research, I created more than 15 mock social media posts, researched and recommended a strategic brand partnership, and helped develop a comprehensive social media posting schedule covering both feed content and stories. Our team presented our findings and strategic recommendations in an hour-long presentation to our corporate partner and contributed to a 105-page supporting research document detailing the data behind our recommendations and example content. This experience strengthened my skills in consumer research, data-driven strategy, social media marketing, content creation, brand partnerships, and presenting insights to a real-world client.

Through consistent and creative content, I successfully grew the account to over 1,100 followers in just over a year.
